Background-

Three members of the national Women’s Business Owners Group have earned recognition as top women-owned businesses in a new listing published by a leading Southern California business journal.

The Orange County Business Journal, publisher of “The List of Women-Owned Businesses,” named Hydraflow of Fullerton, Global, a 1st Flagship Company of Irvine, and Casco Contractors of Irvine among the county’s top female-led companies. All three firms stand as founding members of the Women’s Business Owners Group, an initiative established by Family Enterprise USA (FEUSA).

The coalition works to highlight and address the challenges women-owned businesses face in today’s economy. Women-owned businesses employ over 12.2 million people nationwide, according to research from Wells Fargo, and represent close to 40 percent of all U.S. businesses, totaling more than 14 million firms and generating $2.7 trillion in revenue.

Hydraflow, a $131 million business led by Board Chair Cindy Ayloush, designs and manufactures low pressure fluid transfer components for the commercial aerospace, defense and high technology sectors.

Global, a 1st Flagship Company, a $90 million business headed by Chief Executive Officer and President Sherri Bovino, specializes in maintenance and repairs for the U.S. Navy’s surface ships, submarines and inactive ships.

Casco Contractors, founded by Cheryl Osborn, runs a $47 million operation recognized as one of Southern California’s top construction firms for its EV charging station solutions.

Pat Soldano, President of Family Enterprise USA and founder of the Women’s Business Owners Group, said the honor mirrors the group’s goal of building collaboration among women business owners and pushing for policies that support equity in business, noting that this kind of visibility helps lawmakers grasp the role women-owned businesses play in their districts.
