The appointment adds one of America’s most recognised family legacy names to a global nonprofit focused on economic opportunity and women’s leadership.

WEDO was founded by Wendy Diamond to bring together entrepreneurs, investors and changemakers around a shared mission of empowering women through business, education and innovation.

Her first engagement with WEDO will be an evening gathering on May 30, 2026, bringing together founders, investors and creators for conversation around legacy, reinvention and women’s entrepreneurship.

Guests will hear Vanderbilt Costin speak on growing up within one of America’s most storied families and how legacy can be rebuilt for a new era.
