Background

Thapanee Techajareonvikul, the Chief Executive Officer and President of Berli Jucker PCL, has stated the set of values and principles of leadership that still drive TCC Group as the family-controlled group of companies moves towards its new stage of development.

Thapanee, the youngest daughter of Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi and his wife Wanna, who was the founder of the TCC Group, became the first woman CEO of Berli Jucker in 2023. According to Thapanee, growing up in a family where both parents actively engaged in business provided her with enough courage to lead a large corporation.

Both her parents taught her the importance of hard work, humbleness, partnership, and value creation for everyone. According to Thapanee, her father focused on building mutually beneficial business relationships, while her mother helped balance major decisions and supported the group’s long-term growth.

TCC Group has expanded through carefully selected acquisitions over the years. One of its key investments was Berli Jucker, acquired to complement the group’s beverage operations. Today, different members of the second generation oversee various businesses across retail, property, beverages, and investment holdings.

As head of Berli Jucker, Thapanee said she aims to maintain professional management while preserving a family-oriented culture. The company employs around 61,000 people, with women representing about 60% of the workforce and nearly half of senior management positions.

Looking ahead, the company plans to strengthen operations at MM Mega Market in Vietnam and expand the use of artificial intelligence to improve logistics and energy efficiency.

Thapanee also said the next generation of the family will have greater freedom to choose their own career paths, while shared values and family unity will remain central to preserving TCC Group’s long-term legacy.
