Sky Zone Expands with New Indoor Entertainment Park in Wichita

Background 

Sky Zone is expanding its presence in the United States with a new indoor trampoline and entertainment park in Wichita, Kansas. The new facility has been launched by franchisees Ashley Youngdale, Josh Hix and Nick Taranto, who are also planning additional locations in Rochester, Minnesota, and Lincoln, Nebraska. 

The Wichita park is located in a retail and restaurant district and offers attractions including freestyle jump areas, foam zones, dodgeball, trampoline basketball, drop slides, an arcade and concessions. The venue also includes dedicated spaces for birthday parties, school programmes and youth groups. 

Youngdale said her experience in financial modelling and site selection helped the team choose suitable locations for the business. Before entering the franchise sector, she worked in finance, where she evaluated locations based on population and real estate trends. She used a similar approach while selecting markets for the Sky Zone expansion. 

The franchise team began discussions with Sky Zone in 2024 before officially joining the brand in 2025. They selected Wichita because of its family-friendly community, growing population and affordable commercial real estate. 

The Wichita facility will employ around 65 people and occupies a former retail property that has been converted into an indoor entertainment centre. Construction and renovation costs for Sky Zone parks typically range from several hundred thousand dollars for conversions to several million dollars for full developments. 

Sky Zone operates more than 300 locations across the United States and international markets. The company says its parks welcome around 40 million visitors each year. The Wichita opening also reflects growing investment in family entertainment projects across the region.
