A multi-tasking and dynamic health professional, Dr Vidya Jha serves in various roles including the Deputy Medical Superintendent and Medical Administrator, Laboratory Director, Associate Professor, and Chief of the Cytogenetics lab and Advanced Centre for Clinical Genomics at the prestigious Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), Kochi, Kerala, India.
Dr Vidya has been praised for her leadership style is ever in doubt motivational force for success of her organization and how is she doing so. She, being a leader, begins her every step on placing all the employees on a similar goal of learning and working in line with the mission and vision of the organization. Molecular Diagnostics, i.e., Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), is one such field that came into existence under the vision of Dr Vidya. The technology makes it possible for doctors to identify genetic mutation, biomarkers, and disease at the molecular level. She also needs continuous learning and skill improvement, designing bespoke programs such as FISH, Microarray, and AI diagnostics workshops and seminars. Her duties involve curriculum design, training medical officers, and conducting Continuous Medical Education (CME) courses for health worker training.
