Background

Ultra-Corporate Events is calling on women entrepreneurs and aspiring business owners to register for the third edition of the “I’m a Boss” Businesswoman Breakfast and Masterclass, set for June 25 at Cara Lodge in Georgetown.

The event brings together women from different sectors for a day of business training, leadership development, and peer networking. Organisers have capped attendance at 50 participants to keep sessions interactive and give attendees direct access to facilitators.

Ruth McKenzie, Founder and Managing Director of Ultra-Corporate Events, said the programme was built around a gap she kept seeing. Women, she noted, often have fewer chances to access business-focused training and empowerment programmes compared to their male counterparts.

McKenzie said she deliberately moved away from the standard conference format. McKenzie said the goal was to create a more interactive experience than a traditional conference, giving participants time to connect with one another before taking part in practical training sessions.

Sessions will cover business growth strategies, leadership development, and the mental resilience needed to push through the setbacks that come with running a business. Facilitators will draw from their own experiences building and sustaining successful ventures.

Women from all stages of the business journey can take part, from established entrepreneurs to those considering their first venture.

McKenzie launched the “I’m a Boss” programme in 2017. The initiative returned in 2022 and has since continued its work with women in business and leadership. McKenzie said participants stay connected through follow-up activities and networking events held after the programme.
