Background

Sharon W. Reynolds, CEO of DevMar Manufacturing, has been inducted into the Enterprising Women Hall of Fame, a recognition given to women leaders who have shown strong business success and long-term community impact. She was honoured during the award ceremony held in March in New Orleans.

Reynolds’ leadership on advanced manufacturing and dedication to green innovation led to this recognition. As a Black woman entrepreneur, her work has also helped improve representation in science and manufacturing fields. Her efforts show how business growth can go hand in hand with social and environmental responsibility.

She is the founder of DevMar Manufacturing, a women-led company based in Nashville. The company develops advanced nanotechnology solutions through the use of titanium and zinc materials. The technologies are fighting harmful pathogens and at the same time providing environmental conservation and minimizing lethal plastic waste. The company aims to provide safer and more sustainable options for industries and public health.

Speaking about the honour, Monica Smiley, CEO of Enterprising Women magazine, praised Reynolds for her commitment to empowering others and mentoring women and minority owned businesses. Reynolds said the recognition reflects the efforts of her team and the mission that has guided her career.

Looking ahead, Reynolds plans to continue leading innovation at DevMar Manufacturing while supporting women and minority entrepreneurs. She also remains active in several organisations that promote business development and leadership opportunities.
