Gowling WLG, a global law firm, has hired Sarah Felger as its new Chief Operating Officer. She will manage the operations of the firm in the UK, Europe, and the Middle East, and lead the strategy of the firm and push the use of technology and artificial intelligence to enhance efficiency, client service, and sustainable growth.

Gowling WLG is a firm that provides services in all areas of law, such as corporate, commercial, dispute resolution, and intellectual property law. The company is based in various nations and delivers services to customers in different fields like finance, technology, healthcare and energy.

Sarah is highly experienced in holding senior positions at CMS, Taylor Wessing, Irwin Mitchell, and, more recently, at Womble Bond Dickinson. Her skills in operational and strategic leadership will assist the company in further development across borders and improvement of service delivery.

The creation of a standalone COO role reflects the firm’s growth strategy. Previously, Andrew Edginton held both COO and CFO responsibilities; he will continue as CFO, managing finance and procurement across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East.

Outside work, Sarah serves as a trustee of the Aldridge Foundation, supporting young people, particularly from disadvantaged backgrounds, in building skills and confidence to succeed in education, work, and life.
