Carol Ann Johnson has left an indelible mark in agricultural development through her passion and dedication. She has more than two decades of experience and has emerged as a highly respected figure in executive roles in marketing, business administration, higher education, and healthcare philanthropy. As Chief Development Officer of the Educational Foundation of Alpha Gamma Rho, Carol applies metrics and data to drive effective change, fostering a culture of development. Carol now leads fundraising efforts at the Educational Foundation of Alpha Gamma Rho. Her passion for agriculture, fostered from her farm roots, drives her mission to support the fraternity’s impact.
Carol started her career in 1996 as a member of the Arkansas Cattlemen’s Association, which she organized on behalf of a cattlemen’s library fundraising campaign. She was subsequently a Development Officer at Arkansas State University, building a $22 million campus development project. Carol was Senior Development Officer with Arkansas Children’s Hospital, building a $70 million campaign. Carol’s goal is to leave a lasting legacy at Alpha Gamma Rho, driving excellence and exceeding expectations as Chief Development Officer.
She is committed to expanding leadership development and supporting the agricultural industry, inspired by her success in raising significant funds for the organization. Carol warns aspiring agricultural leaders, especially in fundraising, never to abandon learning and to stay afloat with new trends and best practices. She emphasizes integrity and is the most hardworking person in the room every single time.
