Background:

The National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW), a leading Jewish feminist organization representing 250,000 advocates across the U.S. and Israel, has appointed Jody Rabhan as its new Chief Executive Officer. The Board of Directors approved the decision following a vote.

Rabhan, who has dedicated decades to NCJW, most recently as Executive Vice President, brings a wealth of leadership experience, deep organizational insight, and a clear vision for the future. Her promotion signals both continuity and momentum as NCJW advances its multi-year initiative, NCJW Forward, which aims to strengthen organizational infrastructure, broaden outreach, and build a network of one million changemakers supporting women, children, and families.

Laura Monn Ginsburg, NCJW President and Board Chair, highlighted Rabhan’s strengths, saying, “Jody is the leader NCJW needs today. She combines moral clarity, strategic focus, and an intimate understanding of the organization’s daily impact.”

Rabhan shared her dedication to the mission, stating, “I joined NCJW because of the issues, but I stayed for the advocacy. Here, Jewish values guide meaningful action that improves lives. I’m honored to help lead the organization into its next chapter.”

During her tenure, Rabhan has spearheaded efforts to modernize NCJW’s systems, reinforce its national-local framework, and create accessible opportunities for advocacy and leadership. As CEO, she will oversee the full rollout of NCJW Forward, focusing on leadership development, opening new pathways for members, and ensuring lasting impact for communities across the United States and Israel.

Reflecting on the organization’s priorities, Rabhan said, “Our work strengthens NCJW so we can engage more people, reflect the diversity of the communities we serve, and advocate effectively for women, children, and families. Fully realizing NCJW Forward is not only a strategic goal, but it is a moral obligation.”

Monn Ginsburg added, “Jody leads with integrity, care, and a deep understanding of the people who make NCJW what it is. Her appointment represents both continuity and bold ambition, and she is exceptionally equipped to guide NCJW forward.”

Rabhan assumes her role as Chief Executive Officer immediately, ushering in a new chapter of impact-driven leadership for NCJW.
